The Group is now consolidating its operations in the Cayman Islands to improve the service experience for all CG clients.

Transfer of CG United Portfolio to CG BritCay

Effective January 01, 2024, the insurance operations of CG United, will be transferred to its sister company, British Caymanian Insurance Company Limited (CG BritCay).* We would like to assure you that there will be no impact to the specific terms and conditions of your existing policy with CG United.  The only material change will be to the name of the insurance provider.

Who is CG BritCay?

British Caymanian Insurance Company Limited (CG BritCay) carries on business as an insurance company in
the Cayman Islands. In December 1984, the company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands and granted a
Class ‘A’ Licence to operate in the territory.

CG BritCay is a wholly owned subsidiary of British Caymanian Holdings Limited, which is 75% owned by
Coralisle Group Ltd. CG BritCay underwrites property, marine, automobile damage and liability risks and
other general risks in the Cayman Islands.

What is changing?

Effective January 01, 2024, the insurance operations of CG United Insurance Ltd. (CG United), in the Cayman
Islands, will be transferred to its sister company British Caymanian Insurance Company Limited (CG BritCay).
CG BritCay will effectively take over the underwriting and administration of insurance risks in the Cayman
Islands that were previously handled by CG United.

CG United will not be renewing its insurance licence and will cease to operate in the Cayman Islands.
CG BritCay will be the principal representative for the Coralisle Group Ltd. operations in the Cayman Islands.

What does this mean for CG United clients?

Going forward, and subject to receipt of regulatory approvals, all documentation related to existing policies
with CG United will be changed to reference CG BritCay as the insurer. We would like to reassure customers
that there will be no impact to the specific terms and conditions of their existing policies with CG United. The
only material change will be to the name of the insurance provider.

Did CG United go bankrupt? Was it in financial trouble?

No. CG United continues to be a financially strong company. In March 2023, AM Best, one of the world’s leading
rating agencies for insurance companies, affirmed CG United’s Financial Strength Rating of “A-” and its
long-term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” (Excellent). Best also assigned a “positive” outlook to the ratings. Best
said its rating affirmations reflected the balance sheet strengths of CG United, which were assessed as “strongest”,
as well as their operating performance, business profile and enterprise risk management.

Is the CG United office location closing?

The CG United office, situated at Unit #3 The Strand, 46 Canal Point Drive, will close permanently on
December 22, 2023. After this date, all correspondence, queries, and transactions in relation to CG United
should be directed to the offices of CG BritCay located at BritCay House, 236 Eastern Avenue, George Town.

How does this impact my open claim?

Your claim will continue to be processed. CG BritCay will honour any outstanding liabilities on behalf of
CG United

Where/How do I pay my premium?

Please note the various options available to make payments for your insurance from January 01, 2024.

How do I file a claim?

CG BritCay will handle all claims for former CG United policyholders.

Motor accidents or thefts should be reported to the Claims Department as soon as possible and certainly
within 14 days, even if you feel you will not need to make a claim.

Property damage or loss should be reported to the Claims Department as soon as possible and certainly
within 30 days.

For both motor and property claims, please do not have any repairs made until we have been notified and
the damage has been inspected.
