At the opening of the 2022 Hurricane Season, the regional claims team at CG United hosted our first Loss Mitigation Symposium for clients and key partners.

Featured speakers included representatives from Dekra Loss Adjusters & Surveyors and MRG Inc Loss Adjusters & Surveyors who along with the CG United team discussed a number of areas including and their impact on the settlement of claims in the event of a disaster:

1. Under-Insurance
2. The Application of Average
3. The Application of Deductibles
4. Poor or Dilapidated condition of property
5. Late notifications of loss or failure to provide the claim information within a reasonable time frame

There were over a hundred participants from across the region. The session was extremely beneficial to all participants and provided an opportunity to engage our clients and partners and reinforce our “people-first” philosophy, as we sought to prepare our clients and partners so they are able to mitigate any losses ahead of any possible impact from storms this coming season.
